The 20th Anniversary Surprise Celebration Parade was a parade that borrowed heavily from the Disneyland parade Party Gras Parade. The parade used the floats and balloons from Disneyland but were remodeled slightly for this parade. The balloons had characters themed in a Mardi Gras, Carnival and Venetian Carnival style. There were six balloons used which were 35-40 feet tall. These balloons were cold-air filled, meaning there was no helium used. The parade had 3 floats along with jesters, acrobats and stilt walkers.
Each day of the parade, a family was chosen to ride in the parade on the Roger Rabbit float. The parade later became the Surprise Celebration Parade once the 20th Anniversary of Walt Disney World was over.[1]
