Building Descriptions
| Theme — Tea Party
|
The Mad Tea Party has been inspired by Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland'. It first opened in Disneyland before a duplicate was built in Florida. The Disneyland ride does not have a roof as this ride originally didn't either. This ride is one of the original rides that opened with the park. Originally the ride was not covered but was covered to allow it to run during the frequent Florida rain storms.
The cups are festively decorated with bright colors and allow the rider to control the spinning by a 'steering wheel' in the center of the ride. In the center of the ride is a large tea cup which if you notice has a small mouse pop out occasionally. The Disneyland version of the ride does not have this. Be careful riding this after eating due to all the spinning.
