Welcome to WDW History.com where we are trying to provide all the historical information about the parks and attractions as possible. Many sources were used in the creation of these pages from fan web sites, books, brochures, Disney website, forums and general knowledge.

Wiki Format

WDWHistory.com is now in a Wiki style format allowing for anyone to edit the information on the site. Please feel free to make edits to pages to help correct the information.

Today in Walt Disney World History January 9: In 1999, Horizons closed to be replaced by Mission: SPACE. In 1994, American Journeys closed and the Disney Inn was renamed Shades of Green. Also Magic Carpet 'Round the World was closed and was replaced by the Timekeeper. More events: January 10 – January 11 – January 12

This project started in late December 2005 and data input began in late January 2006. We are currently working on going park by park and land by land and entering data either found or submitted.
