Captain EO was a 3D film that took the place of Magic Journeys in the Imagination pavilion. The film also included lasers that went over the crowds heads. It cost between $17 and $30 million to make due to the 70mm 3D film. This was one of the most expensive films made at over $1 million per minute.[2] It also included smoke and stars in the roof and walls. The film has yet to be released onto DVD or any format. Many thing this is due to the legal issues Michael Jackson had.

[edit] Story

Captain EO starred Michael Jackson, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and executive produced by George Lucas. The film was about Captain EO and his crew on a mission to deliver a gift to the evil alien queen. Captain EO' crew included a small flying alien named Fuzzball, a two headed navigator and pilot Idee and Odee, a robot security officer named Major Domo and an elephant like character named Hooter who messes up during their missions.[3]

When Captain EO and his crew arrive on the alien queen's planet, they are captured and sent to be tortured. EO tells the Queen that he sees the beauty within her and he can unlock it. Two of her robotic crew turn into music instruments and the crew begins to play them. Hooter runs towards his, trips over EO's cape and breaks his. The Queen orders the guards to capture the crew

Hooter fixes his instrument and blasts out music which provides Captain EO with the power to escape the guards. He then uses the power to transform the guards into dancers who fall in step behind him. The alien queen sends her Whip Warriors to take control. The others run away and Fuzzball flies over to tie the Whip Warriors together. This gives EO time to transform them as well. He then uses his power to finally turn the Queen into a beautiful woman. A celebration breaks out and EO and his ship flies off.
